Since October 2023, TBES has supported ethnic minority children in Vietnam’s highlands every month. The programme is run together with the Lovers of the Holy Cross of Thu Thiem, who have recorded its progress throughout.

Why it matters to us

Many girls in remote communities leave school early. Some marry and have children while still teenagers. The programme focuses on keeping these girls in school, giving them better nutrition, and teaching them how to prevent early marriage and domestic violence.

What the programme reached in 2024

In its letter of gratitude dated 14 February 2025, the Congregation reported that 47 ethnic minority children in particularly difficult circumstances in Dak Pxy, many of them orphans, received nutritious meals through the boarding programme in 2024. The Sisters link the meals to lower dropout rates among primary and secondary pupils.

What TBES contributes

  • Monthly meals for the children in the programme
  • New school uniforms at the start of every school year
  • Dry food supplies, such as noodles and pasta, every three months
  • Gifts for the Mid-Autumn Festival and Christmas

Grown in trust

Our slogan is about the trust we build with buyers. It applies at home too. A business that grows should give something back to the communities around it, steadily and over years, not once.

We are grateful to the Sisters of the Lovers of the Holy Cross of Thu Thiem for their work on the ground.
